This session is designed for nonprofit professionals who are new to fundraising or looking to strengthen their foundational knowledge. We will demystify the fundraising process, moving beyond simple donation requests to build a sustainable and ethical fundraising practice. Special focus will be given to crafting a compelling case for support and building a donor-centric culture.
At the end of this session, you’ll be able to:
- Explain the core components of a comprehensive fundraising plan, including the key differences between various fundraising methods (e.g., individual giving, grants, corporate sponsorships)
- Articulate your organization’s mission and impact in a compelling and persuasive “Case for Support” that resonates with potential donors
- Recognize ways to implement a basic donor management process, including identifying prospective donors, engaging with them, and stewarding their contributions effectively
