Overview
Tom Santomaggio is a Principal and Sunbelt Region Lead in CLA's State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. With more than 20 years of public accounting SALT consulting experience, he advises clients on a wide range of multistate tax matters, with an emphasis on indirect taxes. He helps organizations understand how their business is affected by state and local taxes and works alongside tax and finance leaders to assess exposure, strengthen compliance, and support planning and transaction decisions.
Tom’s experience includes sales and income tax consulting, sales tax compliance and refund reviews, controversy support, transaction support project management, state tax implications of global companies entering the U.S., and ASC 740 and ASC 740-10 (FIN 48). He serves clients across agriculture, manufacturing, distribution, technology, retail, healthcare, and hospitality. Tom joined CLA in 2018 and is a Florida CPA and licensed Florida attorney.
