Brandon Hill

Overview

Brandon Hill is a Tax Principal in CLA’s Federal Tax Strategies group and a leader in the firm’s energy tax services practice. He focuses on renewable and clean energy tax credits, helping organizations navigate policy changes and translate incentives into measurable financial results. Brandon advises clients across the full life cycle of energy tax credits - from planning and qualification to monetization and transaction execution. He works with both buyers and sellers of transferable credits, supporting sourcing, diligence, structuring, and execution to drive cash tax savings and improve after-tax returns.

He also helps clients manage the requirements that directly impact credit value, including prevailing wage and apprenticeship rules and timing strategies tied to construction and placement in service. Brandon is particularly focused on emerging areas such as clean fuel production credits, where evolving guidance and increasing supply are reshaping the market. A recognized thought leader, he regularly publishes and speaks on credit transferability, transaction trends, and policy developments supporting continued investment in renewable energy.
