Scott is a principal at CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) and a senior leader in the Retail and Dealership industry groups. He has held a number of leadership positions in the firm over the course of his career at CLA. He led the formation and growth of the national dealership industry practice into one of the largest practices in the country. He also organized and led the development of the Retail industry group within the firm and has enthusiastically mentored and grown our team and our firm.
He has been with the firm his entire career since graduating from the University of Minnesota in 1993 and has served in a wide variety of leadership roles within CLA including a number of firm-wide committees and task forces. In addition, he serves as a strategic advisor to multiple board of directors and is very active in the business community with strong relationships with attorneys, bankers and CEOs.
He is a passionate ambassador for the CLA Promise and is very focused on creating opportunities for our CLA team, our clients, the industries that he serves and our broader communities. He has spent his entire career working with Retailers and Dealerships on a variety of strategic, financial, and tax matters. These include corporate audit, review and tax services, individual tax services, internal control consulting, financial benchmark consulting, family succession planning, and operational reviews. In addition, he has advised on a significant number of large buy/sell transactions within our Retail client base.
As one of the largest professional service firms helping retailers and dealers create opportunities across the country, CLA's Retail team consists of 300 professionals serving 12,000 retailers; and CLA's Dealership team consists of 100 professionals serving 1,000+ dealerships across the country.
