One final note – The IRS has communicated that taxpayers who have already filed a return and included unemployment compensation as income should not file an amended tax return. If you qualify for the new up to $10,200 exclusion, it appears that the IRS may process that refund for you automatically. More details will come and we will keep you apprised.
