Where ideas rise, perspectives meet, and the future of machining takes form

Machining Summit on the Summit brings manufacturing leaders together for something different — open conversation, shared experience, and practical insight about where the trade is headed.

This isn’t a traditional conference or sales-driven trade show. It’s a setting designed for honest dialogue — drawing inspiration from the kinds of conversations that happen between runs on a ski lift, where ideas take shape naturally and perspectives are exchanged freely.

By day, attendees connect on the mountain through skiing, snowboarding, or hands-on activities like RC rock crawling. By evening, they gather for fireside panels and guided discussions with leaders from across the machining industry.

The goal is simple: create space for thoughtful conversations that help move the industry forward.

Afternoon Shop Talk sessions offer a more hands-on experience, with facilitated discussions around machining, automation, leadership, and innovation — bringing practical insight to the challenges and opportunities shops are facing right now.

Panel Conversation: From Chips to Change: The Next Era of the Trade

Machining is entering a period of meaningful change. Automation, reshoring, shifting supply chains, and rapid advances in technology are influencing how parts are made and where manufacturing happens.

This panel explores the forces already shaping the trade and what they mean for shop owners, leaders, and the next generation of makers.

The discussion will look at how manufacturers are responding today, what can be learned from adjacent industries, and how to think differently about the future of modern manufacturing.

Jennifer Clement of CLA will join this group of industry voices for a candid conversation focused on perspective, progress, and practical takeaways designed to spark ideas rather than prescribe answers.
