We’re excited to be speaking at the 26th Annual Public Housing (PHA) Conference hosted by AHACPA at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

This conference is a fantastic opportunity to network with industry professionals, gain insights into the latest trends in public housing, and participate in engaging discussions. 

The sessions are designed to provide professional education for public housing financial personnel, auditors, fee accountants, and financial managers.

Topics include:

HUD Update on Latest Changes — Gain insights into organizational changes at HUD and REAC, oversight changes, and impacts of potential program changes.

Update for Auditees — Learn how to prepare for a successful audit and effectively work with auditors.

Public Housing Update — Understand the latest on Due to/Due From program issues, new PHAS implementation, funding levels, and RAD and Section 18 conversions.

Reducing REAC Rejections — Address submission rejection issues related to GAAP application, lack of commentary, noncompliance, and PELs calculation and appeals.

State of the Industry Roundtable — Discuss pressing issues facing PHAs and auditors, including staffing, HUD reorganization impact, and technology advancements.

Audit Update — Explore changes in audit standards, risk assessment, quality control standards, and differences between multifamily and PHA projects.

Voucher Update — Get the latest on the Housing Choice Voucher Program, 2025 funding levels, risks associated with 2024 HAP reporting, and rental assistance programs.

Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Update

This session will update participants on current and pending changes in generally accepted accounting principles as promulgated by GASB. We will discuss all new accounting standards affecting PHAs, with a particular focus on the new reporting model of GASB 103.
