Tim Dively

Overview

Tim leads the digital service line for CLA's financial services practice, helping financial institutions strengthen cybersecurity and resilience while turning data, automation, and artificial intelligence into measurable business outcomes. Drawing on experience as an SVP who served as Chief Technology Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Information Security Officer at a mid-sized community financial institution, Tim helps organizations align technology, security, governance, and business strategy to achieve sustainable modernization and operational effectiveness.

He works with leadership teams to align people, process, and technology while balancing value, risk, and organizational change. His advisory work helps institutions assess current capabilities, identify strengths and gaps, prioritize investments, establish governance, and modernize securely through practical operating models and achievable roadmaps. Tim advises clients on cybersecurity, technology strategy, operational resilience, data and AI governance, vendor risk management, and regulatory alignment, helping institutions move from strategy to execution with confidence.

Tim's work increasingly focuses on the intersection of cybersecurity, operational resilience, artificial intelligence, technology risk, data governance, and digital modernization. He helps financial institutions balance innovation, security, regulatory expectations, and organizational readiness while building capabilities that support long-term business outcomes. He believes organizational change management, governance, and education are often the difference between strategy and adoption, and between adoption and measurable results. In his view, institutions build scale, resilience, and trust through education, disciplined execution, and secure modernization, while technology-first initiatives without sufficient alignment and adoption planning often fall short.
