In honor of co-op month, CLA would like to say thank you for your commitment to the cooperative community.

Celebrating co-op month

Every October, cooperatives across the country celebrate co-op month. This year’s theme, Cooperatives Build a Better World, is an opportunity to engage cooperative members, customers, employees, and the public about how cooperatives contribute to global improvement.

From finance to food and housing to childcare, co-ops nationwide are shaping a more equitable, innovative, and sustainable future. Cooperatives are a trusted, proven way to do business and build resilient, inclusive communities. The power of a cooperative, a people-centered business, is at the heart of our communities and economies across the country today and into tomorrow.

As we celebrate you this month, think about the people that drive your cooperative and how these individuals are integral to the cooperative business model and what differentiates cooperatives from other business models. Evaluate how your cooperative can continue to build stronger connections with people and businesses, communities, and local economies. Today, no different than the past, we operate in an ever-changing dynamic environment and the values and characteristics inherent in a cooperative are essential to building a better world for all.

Thank you
