2025 grant recipients chosen from team member nominations
This week, CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP) announced that the CLA Foundation has awarded $2 million in grants to 168 nonprofit organizations across the country through the Community Action Fund. These grants are awarded to organizations that have demonstrated a proven commitment to expanding opportunities, fostering positive change, and delivering a measurable impact in their communities.
The Community Action Fund is an annual employee-driven grantmaking program with a particular focus on supporting the local communities where our CLA family members live and work nationwide. Each year, the nearly 9,000 CLA team members in more than 130 offices nationwide are asked to nominate organizations they believe are making a difference. By connecting with these nonprofit organizations, CLA’s employees have a direct impact on how the Foundation dollars are allocated each year.
“Across the country, our CLA professionals are making a difference by donating their time and talent within their communities. Through our employee-driven grantmaking program, the Community Action Fund, they help identify nonprofit organizations that share our mission of focusing on education, employment, and entrepreneurship,” said Susan Carter, Executive Director of the CLA Foundation.
The CLA Foundation is funded exclusively by CLA professionals. This grant program’s roots reach back to the very start of the CLA Foundation in 2015 and has grown from a collective annual impact of $100,000 to $2 million — thanks to the generosity, ongoing support, and donations from CLA employees.
“At CLA, we live our purpose each day, which is to create opportunities for our clients, our people, and our communities. That purpose is truly reflected in our Community Action Fund grants awarded to deserving organizations across the nation,” said Cathy Clarke, Chief Culture Officer for CLA. “The CLA Foundation is fully funded by our people, so we take pride in supporting organizations that embody our values and vision for positive community impact."
This year’s recipients include organizations focused on youth education, workforce development, and entrepreneurship, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to creating lasting change.
Since 2015, the CLA family has awarded more than $15 million to organizations across the country. To learn more about the CLA Foundation and its purpose-driven giving, visit the CLA Foundation page on CLAconnect.com to view the 2024 Impact Report.
