Ryan Walstad

Overview

Ryan grew up in the Twin Cities and earned dual degrees in Accountancy and Operations & Supply Chain Management from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. He began his career at CLA in the Assurance Manufacturing group, where he led engagement teams in delivering timely and accurate assurance reports to clients across the manufacturing sector.

After gaining valuable industry-side experience as an Accounting Manager at a mid-sized company in the Twin Cities, Ryan returned to CLA, bringing a broadened perspective and deeper operational insight. He now serves as an Assistant Controller in the CAAS (Client Accounting and Advisory Services) Manufacturing group, where he supports clients with strategic financial guidance and operational efficiency.

With 7 years of Accounting experience, Ryan is passionate about working with privately-held small businesses and bridging the gap between accounting and operations, and thrives in roles that allow him to streamline processes and deliver value-driven results, helping clients grow.
