Laura is the leader of our Washington D.C. nonprofit assurance and tax team, bringing over 20 years of unparalleled expertise in auditing, accounting, and consulting for nonprofit organizations. Additionally, as the Mid-Atlantic Nonprofit Growth Leader, she focuses on:

• Strategic Development: Designing and executing innovative growth strategies tailored to the unique needs of nonprofit organizations.
• Collaboration: Partnering with industry and service leaders to harness collective expertise and drive transformative results.

Laura's extensive experience encompasses providing services to a diverse array of complex tax-exempt organizations, such as religious institutions, independent schools, social service organizations, think tanks, foundations, and associations. She is an integral member of the firm’s national nonprofit industry team.

In addition to her client-facing roles, Laura is an audit and accounting instructor within CLA, where she educates staff on the latest accounting and auditing developments and other critical topics affecting nonprofits. She has also been a sought-after speaker at numerous seminars, covering a range of subjects including FASB reporting standards changes for nonprofits, the risks of occupational fraud, effective storytelling with Form 990, and grant compliance.
