Overview
Patrick is a Director in Deal Services specializing in Post Merger Integrations for CLA. Patrick has more than four and a half years of experience working with mergers, acquisitions and integrations in public accounting. He also has over two years of experience working as a public accounting auditor for broker dealers and investment banks. He has extensive knowledge of the accounting and reporting issues related to mergers and acquisitions, with special technical expertise around ASC 805 business combinations accounting. In addition, he has extensive technical accounting experience with accounting and reporting topics such as earnings per share, segment reporting, stock compensation, revenue recognition, goodwill and other intangibles impairment, long-lived asset impairment, contingent liabilities, intangible assets, and fair value measurements. He is a trusted advisor who helps clients navigate the complex and challenging aspects of mergers and integrations and achieve their strategic goals. Patrick has extensive experience working with private equity owned portfolio companies to assist with deal execution as well as complex post-close accounting issues.
In addition to his role in the Post Merger Integrations group, Patrick is also an integral part of the firm’s Accounting Consulting Team, which serves as CLA’s national technical accounting and quality resource. Patrick’s role on the Accounting Consulting Team is to support both clients as well as CLA practitioners with complex accounting issues in areas such as Business Combinations, Stock Compensation, Complex Debt Issuances and Complex Equity Arrangements
