Overview
Marcus has over 17 years of public accounting experience and significant experience working with large public registrants as well as privately held organizations in the retail and manufacturing industries.
Marcus began his career in public accounting serving both public and privately-held assurance clients in the manufacturing and retail sectors, leading complex audits in three different markets - Greensboro, NC, Portland, OR, and Charlotte, NC. He is known for developing strong relationships with clients, alumni and staff and providing high quality audit work while sustaining these connections.
In addition to providing valuable audit and financial reporting services, Marcus has also advised his clients on a variety of general and manufacturing industry-focused topics, including revenue recognition, inventory costing and valuation, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, goodwill and long-lived asset impairment, debt refinancing, restructuring, stock compensation and foreign currency considerations.
Most recently, Marcus joined the Accounting Consulting Team at CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA), providing technical accounting advisory support for his clients. In his current role, Marcus is dedicated to creating solutions for his accounting and finance clients on a broad range of complex technical accounting matters.
