Overview

Tim joined CLA in 2021 after serving as a tax manager at a Big 4 accounting firm where he worked for large domestic and foreign private equity investment funds and commercial real estate developers. With a decade of experience in public accounting, Tim has a proven track record of success in tax compliance and planning for partnerships (including multi-tier structures), C and S corporations, as well as high net-worth individuals.

His professional focus and expertise include partnership taxation and partner allocations, federal tax strategies for real estate entities (cost segregation studies, fixed assets classification and depreciation), real property like-kind exchanges, real estate tax credits & deductions, and capital gain deferral through QOZ investments.

Currently, Tim serves as the Growth Network Industry Co-Leader for PacWest region. In this role, he works closely with Client Relationship Leaders at CLA to help them navigate the real estate growth projections and provide insights into the shifts and trends in the regional real estate market.

Tim’s understanding of the real estate businesses and tax ramifications are critical to helping clients make informed decisions.
