Overview
- Daniel has 19 years of experience in Public accounting and works exclusively with higher education institutions, non-profit organizations and federal grant recipients. During his career, he has performed audits, risk assessments, agreed-upon procedures, digital solutions and consulting services. He also has significant experience in compliance with federal awards (single audits) which includes student financial aid, social service related and research and development grants (serving both non-profit and for-profit entities). The federal award auditing and consulting includes organizations with a range from $1M to over $3 billion of federal expenditures annually.
- Daniel is a frequent public speaker internally and externally whether that be for training, awareness or helping our industries. He speaks on a local and national basis and has been a part of numerous conferences. Examples of topics he speaks on includes new accounting standards (FASB and GASB), mitigating fraud, federal compliance (He has led educational sessions for both clients and firm members on FASB and GASB Technical updates, compliance with Student Financial Aid, research and development nuances, internal control considerations, industry trends and many more.
