Leah Melvin

Overview

Leah has over 25 years of experience in various aspects of banking, accounting, and office administration.  More than 10 years specifically relating to AR and collections. She has been with CLA since 2012.  She is an active member of NACM (National Association of Credit Management), our affiliate & primary educational resource for credit and financial management.  Leah attends NACMs "Credit Congress" Convention each year to continually expand her knowledge, networking circles, and to stay current on economic trends. 

In her current role, Leah works with firm leaders to oversee all aspects of credit and collections at CLA.  She helps identify, design, and implement policies & procedures that assist the firm in maintaining a healthy Days Sales Outstanding with a strong focus on increasing cash flow while mitigating credit risk to protect profits. Her team collaborates with management and quality leads to continually evaluate and mitigate risk exposures.  The team also assists with assessing new and existing clients for creditworthiness, where appropriate.  Her primary focus is supervising and being available to the collection team and CLA staff, as they work together to actively pursue aged accounts. Leah also maintains strong relationships with our contacts at PNC to stay abreast on all integrations/processes relating to cash applications.
