Leah Melvin

Overview

Leah has over 25 years of experience in various aspects of banking, accounting, and office administration.  More than 10 years specifically relating to AR and collections. She has been with CLA since 2012.  She is an active member of NACM (National Association of Credit Management), our affiliate & primary educational resource for credit and financial management.  Leah attends NACMs "Credit Congress" Convention each year to continually expand her knowledge, networking circles, and to stay current on economic trends. 

In her current role, Leah works with firm leaders to oversee credit and collections at CLA.  She helps identify, design, and implement policies & procedures to improve cash flow and reduce receivables.  She co-manages the team that assesses new and existing clients for creditworthiness and collaborates with quality leads in various service lines to continually evaluate and mitigate risk exposures.  Her primary daily focus is supervising and being available to the collection team, who works in tandem with principals across the firm to actively pursue aged accounts. Also participating in meetings with PNC (as needed) to monitor the online payment portal, and review lockbox handling.
