Director with CLA’s National Assurance Technical Group serving the state and local government assurance practice. Chris performs engagement quality reviews and is a technical resource to the firm's clients and engagement teams. He has served state and local governments for over 15 years in public practice and municipal finance.

B.S. in Accountancy from Northern Arizona University
In the community
Chris is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas and Arizona, and a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM). Chris has also earned the COSO Internal Control Certificate and Advanced Single Audit Certificate from the AICPA. Memberships include AICPA, TXCPA, and AGA. Chris has volunteered with AGA through his involvement with writing and reviewing CGFM test questions and has served on AGA’s Financial Management Standards Board (FMSB) since 2020, and as Education Chair – State and Local Government for the San Antonio AGA Chapter in 2023/2024. Chris has also been on GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program Special Review Committee for many years.
