John Duffy

Overview

John has 20 years of recruiting and consulting experience prior to joining CLA Executive Search including 5 years with a national search firm and 12 years owning and operating his own search practice.  John has experience recruiting in a variety of industries and has worked with small family owned clients, mid-sized firms and Fortune 500 companies.  In addition to his experience in the search industry, John has 5 years of experience as a CPA with KPMG Peat Marwick and also spent over 10 years as an educator teaching Personal Financial Literacy, Marketing and running the DECA Program for Mounds View Public Schools.  He also served as a Varsity High School Football Coach during his tenure with Mounds View Schools.

During his career in Executive Search John has worked with a variety of clients ranging in size from small family held businesses to mid-sized organizations to Fortune 500 Companies.  While owning and operating Duffy & Associates, John worked with his team of 5 recruiters to establish and maintain outstanding client relationships by constantly focusing on excellent customer service and fully understanding clients' needs.  Competing against much larger local and national search firms, Duffy & Associates established their niche by going the extra mile to understand their clients' needs and working diligently to find candidates that would successfully meet the job requirements.  John's firm developed a Preferred Vendor Relationship with several prominent national companies including United Health Group, Deluxe Corporation, The Mid America Banks (later acquired by Norwest/Wells Fargo) and Browning Ferris Industries.
