Sheri Biser

Overview

Sheri is a Credit Risk Director at CLA serving financial institutions with outsourced loan review and other consulting services. She is a seasoned banking professional and is a dedicated and driven individual who has continuously demonstrated her expertise in credit risk management for more than 25 years.

Sheri has gained a wealth of experience in credit risk management across different sectors and industries as a former federal regulator and chief credit officer for community banks, including a publicly traded institution. She has a strong background in accounting, operations, audit procedures, credit analysis, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, her experience includes oversight of credit administration teams and playing a key role in several mergers and acquisitions. She has a proven track record of identifying and mitigating risk, developing and executing credit strategies, and building and maintaining strong relationships. She has a big picture perspective and has severed on various committees for oversight of areas including but not limited to all aspects of lending, regulatory compliance, the Allowance for Credit Losses methodology, and the Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) analysis and methodology for accuracy and adherence to key controls.

With her vast experience, leadership skills, and decidication to the banking industry, Sheri is a valuable advisor to financial institutions for evaluating and strengthening credit risk management practices.
