Overview
Jen is a principal with CLA and leads the firm’s State and Local Tax (SALT) Indirect Practice. She advises businesses on strategies to reduce tax costs, manage multistate risk, and enhance returns on investment.
With more than 25 years of experience, Jennifer works with organizations making significant human and capital investments to identify and secure federal, state, and local tax opportunities. Her experience includes credits and incentives such as Employee Retention Credits (ERC), Work Opportunity Tax Credits (WOTC), payroll tax credits, property and sales tax incentives, and grant programs.
Jennifer also advises on nexus considerations and broader state and local tax matters, helping clients navigate complex multistate environments with practical, actionable guidance. She regularly collaborates with state agencies and local municipalities to negotiate incentive packages—including tax credits, tax increment financing (TIF), and grants—that improve project economics and long-term outcomes.
Over the course of her career, Jennifer has worked with tens of thousands of clients across a wide range of industries, delivering tailored, results-driven solutions aligned with business objectives.
