David Laugtug, a manager with CLA, has been awarded M&A Advisor’s Emerging Leader Award for his outstanding contributions in the private equity and transactions arena.
Tampa, Florida — CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP) is pleased to announce David Laugtug, manager at CLA, was named a winner in the service professional category of the M&A Advisor’s Emerging Leaders Awards.
The M&A Advisor, renowned globally for its recognition of leading M&A, financing, and turnaround professionals, created the award program to promote mentorship and professional development amongst emerging business leaders. Laugtug was chosen from a pool of international nominees by an independent judging panel of distinguished business leaders. He was the sixth straight CLA professional to be recognized for this award, which will be bestowed at the 2018 Emerging Leaders Summit on September 14, 2018.
Laugtug joined CLA in 2012 as part of the transaction support team. He has helped build the transaction support team to one that has consistently grown more than 30 percent each year. Most recently, Laugtug has stepped forward with a move to Tampa in order to develop a private equity/transaction advisory practice in the Florida market.

David has more than 100 transactions under his belt including buy side, sell-side, recapitalization, and other financing situations. He has developed a significant focus in the technology industry and in corporate carve out transactions. In addition, he has provided services to privately-held clients in the manufacturing, distribution, and retail industries with both domestic and international operations. Laugtug also provides quality of earnings assessments, working capital analyses, and transaction structuring for private equity firms, strategic buyers, and proactive sellers, as well as financial statement assurance and tax services to private equity portfolio companies and closely held businesses.
