Regulated Book Donation

CLA donated books and more than $30,500 to local Boys & Girls Clubs and Ronald McDonald House Charities to help create opportunities for organizations in the communities we serve.

On June 4, 2019, the CLA family came together for a multi-day learning opportunity at the Regulated Industries Conference in St. Paul, Minnesota. During an after-hours book drive centered around creating opportunities for our communities, CLA collected more than 1,000 children’s books and an unexpected $30,500 in spontaneous cash donations.

Many attendees added personalized notes to books before donating, sharing with future readers why the story was so meaningful to them. One person wrote, “This was my favorite childhood book. I hope you love it, too!”

“The tremendous generosity demonstrated during this event was truly a highlight of the conference, and a wonderful representation of the CLA family,” says John Langan, CLA’s chief industry officer of regulated industries.

Donations were made to local Boys & Girls Clubs and Ronald McDonald House Charities in cities across the nation.

Following the donation, one of the recipients, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Upper Midwest, took to social media to share, “The kids at the House want to say thank you to everyone at CLA who participated in the Regulated Industries Conference … and donated awesome books to fill our libraries ...”

CLA has one of the largest and most experienced nonprofit practices in the country, and is proud to serve numerous local Boys & Girls Clubs and Ronald McDonald House Charities across the nation.

“Not only do we have existing relationships with these organizations, but our firm is also deeply committed to creating opportunities in the communities we serve,” says Langan. “With more than 120 locations in communities all over the U.S., we have a lot of opportunity in front of us.”
