The CLA Foundation awarded scholarships to 69 students nationwide, supporting education and future careers in professional services-related fields.

The CLA Foundation announced today 69 students from across the United States will receive CLA Foundation Opportunity Scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic year. Now in its second year, the program has provided more than $1 million in scholarship support to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in accounting, finance, business, technology, and other professional services fields.

Administered in collaboration with Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and education support programs, the Opportunity Scholarship Program reflects the CLA Foundation’s commitment to investing in the next generation of leaders and helping strengthen the future workforce in communities across the country.

“The future of the professional services industry depends on attracting, developing, and supporting talented individuals from all walks of life,” said Saundra Beatty, chair of the CLA Foundation Board. “These scholarships represent our commitment to helping students gain the education and skills they need to succeed while strengthening the pipeline of future professionals who will help organizations navigate an increasingly complex and technology-driven world.”

Investing in talent, opportunity, and the future

As businesses across the United States undergo rapid technological change and increasing demand for skilled professionals, expanding access to education and career pathways has never been more important. Through the Opportunity Scholarship Program, the CLA Foundation is helping reduce financial barriers for students demonstrating academic achievement, leadership potential, community involvement, financial need, and a desire to create meaningful impact.

“Every student should have the opportunity to pursue their ambitions and reach their full potential,” said Susan Carter, executive director of the CLA Foundation. “These scholarships are an investment in students who are preparing for careers in fields that power our economy. By helping them achieve their educational goals today, we're helping create stronger opportunities for tomorrow.”

The scholarship program supports students pursuing degrees aligned with CLA’s core service areas while helping cultivate a diverse and highly skilled pipeline of future professionals. By working with Scholarship America, the CLA Foundation is able to reach students nationwide and create opportunities in communities where CLA serves clients and operates offices.

I want to extend a sincere thank you to the CLA Foundation for your generous investment in my future and your commitment to empowering students.”

Now in its second year, the Opportunity Scholarship Program continues to expand the CLA Foundation's mission of connecting diverse networks and creating career opportunities through education, employment, and entrepreneurship.
