Today, CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP), the eighth largest accounting firm in the United States, announced its Philadelphia office was selected as a 2023 Best Places to Work honoree by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The award program celebrates employers in the greater Philadelphia area nominated by their own staff. The Best Places to Work list is based solely on feedback gathered by employees. The business journal partners with Quantum Workplaces to survey companies’ employees on many factors, including culture. Ninety-six companies made this year’s list, including 23 in the large company category, which includes businesses with 100 – 499 employees. CLA is a finalist in the large company category.
“This recognition means so much because it comes from our own people. We’re committed to creating a workplace that is welcoming, supportive, and encouraging as our professionals build a meaningful career path, what we call their inspired career with CLA,” said Emily Gunther, managing principal for CLA’s Philadelphia office.
Scott Engelbrecht is CLA’s chief geographic officer. He praised Gunther and the entire Philadelphia office leadership team for their dedication to helping mentor staff as they discover their passions.

Winning companies have been announced in the Philadelphia Business Journal. Individual company rankings will be announced at an event July 27, followed by a publication on July 28 listing the top three winners in each category.
