As a succession-minded organization, leadership transitions are viewed as part of the journey.
Today, CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP), the eighth largest accounting firm in the United States, announced two new managing principal of office leaders, effective July 1, 2022:
- Derrick DeBruyne, Managing Principal, CLA Glendora and Ontario, California
- Kirthi Mani, Managing Principal, CLA New York
“We believe in the power of diverse teams and the importance of succession,” said Scott Engelbrecht, chief geographic officer, CLA. “Kirthi and Derrick live our CLA Promise and values each day, creating an environment for our people to thrive and, in turn, provide excellent client experiences and positive impact on our communities.”
CLA operates with a virtual headquarters, appointing strong leadership across the country empowered to make decisions that advance CLA in the context of local needs and opportunities. This intentional geographic approach is grounded in CLA’s belief in putting people first and creating meaningful community impact.
“Sixteen years at CLA has shown me the power of strong, consistent, and caring culture in action,” said DeBruyne. “Recognizing the value of teams and the people making up those teams is essential to any organization’s success. In my leadership role in Southern California, I look forward to continuing that culture, seeing the resulting growth, and bringing new opportunities to our clients, people, and community.”
“From leading our global practice to active engagement in our wellness initiatives, I’ve found joy in every opportunity CLA has given me,” said Mani. “I’m very grateful for this chance to lead our New York office as we accelerate our expansion in the U.S. market as well as widen our gateway to global organizations. The CLA team is truly incredible, dedicated to helping those around us flourish — and that brings so much positive energy.”
CLA formed its leadership teams to be responsive to the needs of its people, its clients, and the communities it serves. These teams are built to be collaborative and nimble, part of a “flat organization” philosophy critical to future growth.
