Overview
Travis Chamberlain is a principal with CliftonLarsonAllen LLP and over 20 years of experience in valuation and financial consulting. Travis performs valuations of businesses, intangible assets, derivatives, and various other instruments, including securities in complex capital structures. He performs valuation projects for numerous purposes, including financial reporting, tax, merger and acquisitions, private equity investment, initial public offering readiness and capital budgeting. Travis speaks nationally on valuation topics to professional and industry organizations and has authored several articles for professional journals. Travis is serving on the Task Force which is drafting the AICPA Practice Guide Determining Fair Value of Portfolio Company Investments of Venture Capital and Private Equity Firms and other Investment Companies. In addition, Travis served as a Subject Matter Expert on the Valuing Contingent Consideration panel formed by the Appraisal Practices Board of The Appraisal Foundation. Travis recently served on the AICPA Valuation of Private Equity Securities Task Force which rewrote the Practice Guide Valuation of Privately-Held-Company Equity Securities Issued as Compensation. Travis is a former member of the AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services Executive Committee, the senior technical committee of the AICPA that is authorized to promulgate professional standards with respect to valuation matters. He was Chair of the Emerging Issues Task Force and served as a member of the Standards Task Force. Travis is also a former member of the AICPA Business Valuation Committee. Travis is a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Accounting. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) by the American Society of Appraisers. Travis is also a licensed CPA and is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) by the AICPA.
