Steve Scoggan

Overview

Steve provides accounting, tax, and management consulting services to privately held small and medium sized businesses, in construction, real estate, and numerous other industries. He has extensive hands-on experience in coaching and assisting owners in dealing with complex accounting, management, organizational, personnel, and motivational challenges.

His specialty is being pro-active in helping companies and their owners deal with the issues and details related to growth, or depending on the business cycle, shrinkage. He enjoys the dynamics of business, and also helps clients obtain credit, plan for succession, or prepare for sale.

Steve currently is the Principal in Charge of the Salt Lake office of CLA, and is responsible for personnel, recruiting, quality control, and business development among other things.

In a prior life, Steve co-owned and managed a family multi-operation business in Park City. Prior to that, he started his career working for KPMG Peat Marwick in Los Angeles and New York.

 

Education

Bachelors in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from California State University, Los Angeles
