Brian Duren

Overview

With over 15 years of experience, Brian serves real estate industry clients by delivering tax compliance, consulting, and advisory services. His clients include building contractors, multi-family developers and operators, commercial real estate companies, private equity funds, land developers, and residential home builders.

Brian serves as leader of CLA’s Opportunity Zone working group, supporting CLA’s tax and wealth advisory practices by identifying tax strategies for opportunity zone investors and implementing tools for businesses to successfully comply with the opportunity zone regulations.

Brian's passion lies in advising clients as their businesses evolve throughout the Real Estate Life Cycle, by collaborating on alternative capitalization structures for new real estate developments and investments; and helping clients identify tax efficient exit techniques.
