Michelle Dunsing

Overview

Michelle provides advisory, tax and assurance services to clients in the construction industry, including general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, building owners, materials and equipment suppliers. She has over twenty-five years of experience in the accounting industry, both within public accounting and private industry. After obtaining her CPA license, she worked as the controller for a large Bay Area mechanical contractor for six years. She then returned to public accounting as a CPA with a local Marin County firm prior to joining CLA's Novato office.

Michelle's experience as a controller gives her a unique perspective when serving clients as she understands the intricacies of the internal accounting function, software systems and internal controls, especially as they relate to construction companies. She has a keen understanding of inventory management, project billing and collections, job costing, the collaboration between project management and estimating, as well as job schedules. 

Michelle is committed to providing excellent, innovative and timely services and solutions to our clients as she is a trusted member of their advisory team. This means listening, developing relationships and understanding the issues facing our clients. Most importantly, Michelle seeks to provide high quality services while maintaining a high level of integrity.
