Kristen Crouchelli

Overview

Kristen Crouchelli is a Principal in CLA's Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice, specializing in serving nonprofit organizations, social service agencies, and mission-driven entities throughout New Jersey and New York. She is passionate about helping nonprofit leaders strengthen their financial operations, maximize resources, and build sustainable organizations that advance their missions.

Kristen brings a unique dual perspective to her clients, having served both as a trusted advisor in public accounting and as an internal finance leader within the nonprofit sector. She began her career in the nonprofit practice of a regional CPA firm, providing audit, tax, and advisory services to charitable organizations. She later transitioned to a Controller role for a large multi-program social services organization, where she led accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, regulatory compliance, and annual financial and employee benefit plan audits.

Drawing on these experiences, Kristen provides strategic and operational guidance that goes beyond traditional accounting services. She partners with boards, executive leadership teams, and finance departments to improve financial management, enhance reporting, navigate funding complexities, and support long-term organizational sustainability. Her work spans outsourced CFO services, outsourced accounting, financial planning and analysis, nonprofit tax compliance, grant management, and board financial education.

Kristen's clients value her practical approach, deep knowledge of nonprofit finance, and ability to translate complex financial matters into actionable insights that drive better decision-making.
