Jay Burstein

Overview

Jay has over 20 years of consulting experience, 16 of which have been with CLA. He is a member of CLA’s national Business Opportunity Assessment (BOA) team and has performed numerous such assessments for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Previously, he performed consulting CFO roles on an interim and part-time basis. Prior to joining CLA Jay had 20 years of leadership experience in private industry including CFO of a $15 million professional services business, COO/CFO of a $6 million PE backed international technology and business services roll-up, VP and Controller of a $150 million financial services subsidiary of State Street Bank, and CFO of a $250 million financial services subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company.

He also provided general manager leadership of large back-office services operations as well as oversight of IT functions, mergers and acquisitions, system conversions, and internal audit.

He began his career in public accounting with Coopers & Lybrand and is a licensed CPA in Massachusetts.
