Overview
Michael Thompson is a principal with CLA and specializes in working with privately held businesses and high net worth families in the accounting and tax fields. He has extensive experience in the real estate industry representing some of Atlanta’s premiere commercial and residential real estate developers, management companies and investors.
Education
Michael received his B.S. in Accounting from Berry College where he played four years of collegiate tennis. He is an active alumnus, currently serving on the College’s Board of Visitors and Planned Giving Council.
In the community
Michael currently serves on the Major Gifts and Planned Giving Council of Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities and served two terms as Board Chair of the Summit Counseling Center, and over 10 years as a Director of the Buckhead Coalition. He is also a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
