Mackenzie McNaughton

Overview

Mackenzie is a principal in CLA’s tax practice and advises public charities, private foundations, trade associations, and other tax-exempt organizations on all issues across the tax-exempt spectrum. Her practice includes advice on entity structuring and efficiencies, unrelated business income, joint ventures, governance issues, excise taxes, and IRS-related filings, practice, and procedure. 

Before joining CLA, Mackenzie worked at law firms, a Big 4 accounting firm, and as a senior tax law specialist at the IRS National Office in both the Tax Exempt & Government Entities (TEGE) Division and the Large Business & International (LB&I) Division. While at the IRS she helped implement procedures and taxpayer guidance for two major pieces of tax legislation: the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA).
