CLA and ASAE Team Up to Discuss Health Care Reform for Associations
The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) kicked off its 2013 Annual Meeting recently with a CEO breakfast at which Nat Bartholomew, partner at CliftonLarsonAllen, moderated a panel discussion of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and its impact on associations and their constituencies.
Panelists included John Graham, president and CEO of ASAE, Anita Baker, managing partner of employee benefit plans at CliftonLarsonAllen, and John O’Donnell, executive vice president of the Washington Area New Auto Dealers Association. The panel discussed compliance issues, cost implications, and the options and decisions surrounding the legislation.
Bartholomew also teamed up with John Dripps, CFO of the National Association of Secondary School Principals, for an August 5, 2013, presentation on the Top Ten Issues Facing CFOs Today. The recap was an update of a similarly titled presentation at last year’s ASAE meeting. The interactive session covered issues related to financial reporting, risk management, and the impact of recent legislation.
“CliftonLarsonAllen has a well-established relationship with the ASAE,” says Bartholomew. “This year’s meeting was a great example of how we work together to help association executives implement progressive solutions for the financial and strategic management issues they face.”
