The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the 2019 proposed Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) and Long-Term Care Hospital (LTCH) Rule. Roughly 3,330 acute care hospitals and 420 LTCHs will be impacted by the proposed changes in this rule. If finalized, the changes will go into effect beginning October 1, 2018.
