CLA’s Learning and Development Team Receives 2018 BEST Award

  • 10/12/2018

Thanks to the creative efforts of CLA’s in-house learning and development (L&D) team, CLA is the recipient of a 2018 BEST Award and has been highlighted among other winners in the Association for Talent Development’s October issue of TD Magazine. 170 organizations in 12 different countries submitted BEST Award applications, and CLA was among the 45 winning companies.

Creating opportunities

As THE career-building firm, CLA’s culture encourages professional development — and our L&D team is committed to providing employees with the tools they need to succeed. Learning opportunities are available to employees through an internal learning portal where they can engage in a multitude of learning experiences.

The L&D team’s most recent initiative, Learning Bytes, earned them a spot on the 2018 BEST Award list. Learning Bytes address the employees’ need for quick, clear direction on a variety of different topics. They come in many forms, including articles, recorded webcasts, and audio clips. This collaborative method of distributing learning tools enables employees to access the resources they need quickly and efficiently.

TD Magazine points out, “This program is unique because learners throughout the firm are encouraged to share their knowledge by creating Learning Bytes.”

Beth Knight, CLA’s director of learning, says, “Because of its collaborative nature, the program is inclusive. Anyone is welcome to contribute — and, in fact, it is encouraged.”

What’s next for learning at CLA?

Beth Knight shares, “The L&D team has many ideas to continue driving our learning strategy forward at CLA. We want our employees to continuously gain new skills and share their knowledge. We provide continuous learning experiences so our professionals can serve and create opportunities for our clients and our people. CLA employees can expect to see more innovative online classrooms in their future, as well as a focus on learning reinforcement.”
