Top Financial Advisers 2019

It’s CLA’s second appearance on the list of top firms based on assets under management, asset growth, compliance, years in existence, credentials, and online accessibility.

For the second consecutive year, CLA has been named to the Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers. The list recognizes top independent RIA firms from across the United States.

Now in its sixth year, the FT 300 list is produced independently by Financial Times in collaboration with Ignites Research, a subsidiary of FT that provides business intelligence on the asset management industry.

RIA firms apply for consideration and must meet certain minimum criteria. This year’s 740 applicants were evaluated on six factors: assets under management (AUM); long-term (three year) AUM growth; years in existence; advanced industry credentials of the firm’s advisers; online accessibility; and compliance records. There are no fees or other considerations required to apply for the FT 300.

CLA exists to create opportunities for our clients. Our advisors are committed to knowing our clients and helping them at every step of their financial journey. We consider it a tremendous honor to be included on this national list for the second consecutive year and will continue working to earn the trust of the individuals, families, and institutions we serve. Bruce Bushman, Chief Wealth Advisory Officer

Financial Times says its list identifies the industry’s elite advisors while accounting for different approaches and specializations. The final list includes advisors from 37 states; California has the most advisors on the list and New York has the most for a city. AUM among the FT 300 advisors rose from $1.1 trillion to $1.2 trillion in the past year.

The FT 300 is one in series of rankings of top advisers by the Financial Times that includes the FT 401 (retirement plan advisers) and the FT 400 (broker-dealer advisers).

CLA was also recently listed third on Accounting Today’s 13th annual ranking of firms based on AUM, with $6.074 billion in AUM at the time of the survey.
