CLA is committed to supporting the communities we serve. This season, Toys for Tots and many other inspiring organizations were recipients of bikes for kids in need.

This holiday season, CLA has donated nearly 500 children’s bikes and helmets across all 110 of its offices through Toys for Tots and other local organizations.

“CLA exists to create opportunities for our clients, our people and our communities. We live out that purpose by developing relationships in our communities and fully participating in them,” says Denny Schleper, CEO. “We’re grateful to be able to support organizations across the nation that bring joy to so many children and their families.”

From Charlotte to Sacramento and many cities in between, CLA offices were distributing bikes in their communities. Toys for Tots was chosen as the primary recipient of the CLA bikes because its national program has been providing impact for years in many of the communities that CLA serves. Toys for Tots provides more than 800 local toy collection and distribution programs in most major market areas in all 50 states, D.C., and U.S. territories.

Established in 1947, Toys for Tots is the combined efforts of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Each local Toys for Tots Program is run by a Marine Reserve unit, Marine Corps League Detachment, or other community organization, and each campaign is headed by a Toys for Tots coordinator who organizes a seasonal campaign from October through December. This coordinator is an active duty marine. Their mission today is the same as it was in 1947: to bring the joy of the holiday season to America’s less fortunate children.

“Our brand is about creating opportunities by moving forward, so donating bikes makes sense,” says Nancy Brown, a managing partner at CLA. “Bikes are a fun catalyst for wellness and progress, powered by human energy.”

CLA also supports communities through CLA Foundation grants to individuals and organizations focused on creating education, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities for others.

“Our CLA Family always finds opportunities to give their time, talents, and resources to our communities,” says Jen Leary, chief strategy officer at CLA. “We’re inspired by the work of organizations such as Toys for Tots and appreciate the opportunity to be a part of their impact this season.”
