Charlotte, North Carolina — December 22, 2016 — CliftonLarsonAllen is pleased to announce that its Charlotte, North Carolina, office has been named a Best Place to Work for 2016 by Charlotte Business Journal. This is the second straight year that CLA has received the honor, and its first in the large company category. It was ranked 14th out of a field of more than 70 Best Places winners.

“When it comes to our office, there’s nothing more important to me than our people, our culture, and our ability to serve the evolving needs of our clients in the region.”

“We are extremely pleased to receive this honor again this year, especially among larger companies,” said Jen Leary, managing principal for the office. “When it comes to our office, there’s nothing more important to me than our people, our culture, and our ability to serve the evolving needs of our clients in the region.”

This 20-second promotional video produced by Daniel Hight, an associate in Charlotte, was included in the office’s submission package for this year’s awards. It captures the atmosphere and attitude that set the CLA office apart from its peers in the fast-growing Charlotte marketplace.

CLA employees in Charlotte enjoy amenities like a sports-themed café, an on-site gym, gourmet coffee/espresso machines, quiet rooms with water features and sound machines for relaxation, and a summer casual dress code. There are also on-site health and wellness options including treadmills, stationary bikes, and yoga classes every Friday. The CLA Marketplace offers healthy snacks and drinks to enjoy throughout the day, and team rooms equipped with PlayStation and Guitar Hero are available for a mid-day break. Food trucks and Popsicle carts also make appearances at the office throughout the year.

“One of CLA’s strategic advantages is that we are a career-building firm. We believe the work environment is key to developing people who love what they do, and love serving all of the needs of our client organizations and the people who own them,” said Leary.

Reflecting on the honor, a Charlotte team member said, “CLA is the best professional-services firm to work for, and the firm leaders really care about giving back to the Charlotte community and taking care of the businesses and their owners.”

Charlotte is part of a three-office team serving the south east region nicknamed “Carolanta.” It includes Charlotte, Atlanta, and Raleigh.
