Axelrod to Lead Merger and Acquisition Advisory Services at CLA
Minneapolis — December 12, 2014 — CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA), a national professional services firm, is pleased to announce Ben Axelrod has joined the firm as the managing director of merger and acquisition (M&A) advisory services.
Axelrod will provide strategic advice on mergers and acquisitions and related services to owners of privately held businesses, private equity clients, and their portfolio companies. As part of the national team, Axelrod will play a key role in seamlessly delivering M&A advisory services with the rest of CLA’s highly-specialized service capabilities, which are imbedded in the industries the firm serves.

Prior to joining CLA, Axelrod spent more than 13 years at Lazard Middle Market LLC, Goldsmith Agio Helms, RBC Capital Markets, and BHF Bank in Frankfurt, Germany. At these financial institutions, he largely focused on providing strategic advice on mergers and acquisitions to middle market entrepreneurs and corporate clients. He has worked with clients in a broad array of industries, including numerous family owned middle market businesses, and has a unique understanding of the process an owner goes through during a business transition. Axelrod’s past experience covers mergers and acquisitions for both public and private companies (including numerous sell-side advisory assignments, buy-side advisory services, and leveraged buyouts), initial public offerings, secondary offerings, and private placements.
