2018 Senior Living Trends White Paper Explores Potential for Disruption in Industry
CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) recently released their 2018 Senior Living Trends white paper describing future opportunities for providers. The white paper explores issues that are most likely to have a powerful impact on the industry, including senior living options, demographic growth, aging in place, workforce pressures, health care reform, big data, technology, and partnerships and affiliations.
“We see tremendous potential for disruption in the current senior living environment as the impending pace of change becomes overwhelming to those who are unprepared,” said Mario Mckenzie, CLA partner and author of the white paper. “In response, we are asking providers one simple question: what business are you really in?”
The issues explored in the white paper were identified through many conversations with senior living providers. CLA’s proprietary modeling tool, CLA Clarity, was used to analyze financial and quality data from skilled nursing facilities nationwide. CLA’s extensive experience in the senior living sector provides a historical perspective on the trends.
“We hope these trends will prompt providers and their boards to think about their strategies so they can position their organizations for success,” said Cory Rutledge, managing principal of senior living with CLA.
