The IRS and many 403(b) plans are now offering pre-approved plan documents. This gives plan sponsors the opportunity to narrow the gap between 403(b) and 401(k) plan documents and establish similar compliance standards. Plan sponsors must now adopt either prototype or volume submitter plans and have their plan documentation reviewed and submitted prior to March 31, 2020.
Our complimentary webinar will explore the 403(b) testing rules, participant notice requirements, and the new prototype documents and their available provisions. We will also discuss when a 401(k) plan may be a more suitable option.
At the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Identify if a 401(k) or 403(b) plan is best suited for your organization
- Determine if your organization requires an updated 403(b) pre-approved plan document
- Recognize what you should be doing, to maintain your 403(b) plan compliance
Who should attend
This session is designed for anyone involved in the administration or oversight of qualified retirement plans and those serving in a fiduciary role within a nonprofit organization, higher education institution, or state and local government entity.
