The CLA Tax, Business, and Estate Planning Forum presents timely topics throughout the year on estate planning, while additionally providing opportunities for networking with local peers. During this session, Cindy Steeb from JD-CLS Consulting LLC will define private trust companies (PTC) and offer guidance on how to use one, the role of trustees, various governance structures, suitable states for chartering a PTC, and things to consider when establishing PTC services.
At the end of this session, you will be able to:

- Recognize what differentiates the structure from other trust and SEC registration
- Identify the role of the PTC in supporting the family enterprise governance and best practices
