The Clery Act’s regulations have been in effect since 1990 but are receiving increased attention in recent years, due largely to the $2.4 million fine handed to Penn State University in 2016 for multiple violations related to the Jerry Sandusky scandal.

Your higher education institution’s compliance with these regulations could be scrutinized as part of an ED program review or as a separate Clery Act audit. Understanding the requirements, as well as actively monitoring and accurately reporting campus crimes, can keep your institution out of the red and away from negative press.

Watch this complimentary webinar as CLA professionals review the Clery Act, its requirements, common findings, and steps your institution can take to remain compliant.

At the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Explain the Clery Act and its requirements
  • Describe common Cleary Act findings
  • Determine potential next steps for your institution to assess policies and avoid noncompliance
