The 2018 Annual Government Training Academy is an intensive, one-day learning session that helps you prepare for the year ahead. Together we’ll discuss audit findings and effective responses, balancing risks and controls, and communicating with elected officials. Our professionals will also give updates on single audits, GASB, tax reform, and the 2018 economic outlook.

At the end of these sessions, you be able to:

  • Develop management responses to findings that are concise and effective
  • Outline best practices in internal controls over capital assets
  • Discuss the bond rating process and identify how your organization’s ratings are determined
  • Outline the new accounting standards affecting state and local government accounting and reporting
  • Describe the roles and responsibilities of governance in your organization
  • Identify processes to help reduce the risk of fraud in your organization
