The AICPA Ag Conference will be in Denver in August and I hope that many readers can attend.
The 2022 AICPA Ag Conference will be in Denver at the downtown Grand Hyatt on August 8-10, 2022. The sign-up page can be accessed here.
The agenda contains both tax, accounting and industry related topics. Some of the key speakers and topics are as follows:
- Jim Wiesemeyer will give a timely update on Washington DC. With this being an election year, it will be good to get an idea on how the election may turn out and how it will affect ag.
- Mike Thoren of Five Rivers Cattle Feeding will review the vertical integration of the cattle industry. Five Rivers is the largest cattle feeder in the world with feeding capacity of 1 million cattle.
- Chris Hesse will review farm tax planning options. This may be your last chance to hear Chris speak on farm tax planning.
- Roger McEowen will review entity selection pros and cons along with FSA planning. I will provide color commentary.
- I will go over some advanced estate trust planning for farmers.
- Bill Northey, former Undersecretary of Ag under President Trump will review carbon credit trends.
There will be several other speakers and topics that can be checked out on the sign-up page. And probably most important, this is a great chance to meet up with others from across the country that share your passion for farmers and farming.
I look forward to seeing everyone in Denver and if you are interested in golf, let me know. We will likely do golf Monday morning teeing off early since the event does not start until 12:30.
