Pete is a principal in the West Hartford office of CLA and has over 40 years of experience in public accounting. He is currently a member of CLA’s National Assurance Technical Group, providing technical accounting and assurance guidance to teams located in offices throughout the country. Pete also assists in developing policies and procedures for the conduct of CLA's assurance practice and responding to exposure drafts from standard setters for proposed accounting and professional standards.
Pete has extensive experience serving privately held businesses in manufacturing and distribution, retail and dealerships, construction and professional services. He also has comprehensive experience auditing employee benefit plans including defined contribution, defined benefit and employee stock ownership plans.
Prior to merging in 2021, Pete served as the Director of Accounting and Auditing and Director of Quality Control for Blum, Shapiro & Company, P.C. In these positions, Pete had overall responsibility for the firm's assurance practice, quality control and risk management.
