Overview
Mirna Mikhail started her career as an accounting intern at Crestline Hotels & Resorts, a hotel management company, for the summer of 2017. She was responsible for preparing bank and balance sheet reconciliations to meet month-end deadlines and examining budgets and preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted to actual costs.
After graduating from George Mason University, she worked as a staff accountant, then, as an accounts payable specialist at the same company, Crestline Hotels & Resorts, for around a year. She Initiated wires and ACH transactions on a weekly basis, recorded journal entries affecting all areas of the financial statements, and analyzed year-over-year expense and budget accounts and reported variances monthly.
In 2019, she went to work as a staff accountant at the Carlyle Group, a private equity firm, for around two years. She fully executed capital call and distribution transaction processes within short deadlines and managed valuation reports and audited investors’ capital account statements on a quarterly basis.
Education
Mirna Mikhail has graduated with a bachelor of science degree in accounting and minor economics from George Mason University in 2018. In 2022, Mirna earned her master of accountancy degree from George Washington University. Then, as a next step, she is planning on earning her CPA license.
