A Principal in CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, John focuses his practice on providing business valuation, economic damage and other litigation support services including fraud investigation and forensic accounting. John has testified as an expert witness in business valuation and economic damage matters on numerous occasions. John has earned the designations of Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in business valuation, Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF).
Professional Education and Firm History
John received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Massachusetts in 1972 and his Master of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from UMASS in 1975. He was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1977 and joined Blum Shapiro & Company, P.C. in 1985. Blum Shapiro merged with CliftonLarsonAllen on January 1, 2021. John was designated as a Certified Fraud Examiner in 1992, as an Accredited Senior Appraiser by the American Society of Appraisers in 1996, as Accredited in Business Valuation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2004, and as Certified in Financial Forensics by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2008.
